Lacquer Coated Cypress Wooden Edobitsu Rice Jar (18cm)

The purpose of lacquer:
- Resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohol and salt.
- Water & heat resistance and anti-corrosion properties.

Hinoki Cypress:
- Durable / unique fragrance and beautiful light brown color.
- Used historically as a premium material in the construction of shrines and temples.

Maintenace:
- Before using: wipe with a wet towel to avoid the smell of the ingredients to be absorbed by the wooden product, and will help prevent molding.

- After every use: rinse with hot water and allow to air dry completely. Do not use a drier or leave water in the product for a long as this will lead to damaging the wooden material. Once it is rinsed, allow the product to air dry and do not use a drier.

Once the item is dry, store in a well ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

Uncooked Rice Amounts:
24cm - 7 cups of rice
21cm - 5 cups of rice
18cm - 3 cups of rice
