We are seeking a Full Time Customer Service Associate to join our team! You will be responsible for managing incoming calls, helping customers with inquiries and orders, and providing support to the Customer Service Assistant Manager.

Our Tribeca store is home to the most extensive collection of Japanese knives in the world, including Japan. But our collection is far more than just knives—we also offer a vast selection of kitchen tools and appliances, exquisitely designed tableware, and the rarest and most covetable sharpening stones. We are proud to be part of New York’s culinary community, and frequently host special events such as knife sharpening demonstrations and parties with the city’s most celebrated chefs and restaurateurs.
Responsibilities:
- Handle telephone inquiries Monday-Friday, providing a high level of customer service
- Review and approve website orders
- Contact customers regarding orders when necessary
- Assist with the shipping stage of customer orders, including:
- Checking web sales orders for back ordered items and adjusting the ship date accordingly
- Following up with the mail carrier regarding orders that are defective, damaged, lost, etc.
- Coordinating with the warehouse team when necessary
- Additional customer service support as needed
- Assist the Customer Service Assistant Manager with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or other related fields
- Excellent customer service skills including ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual Spanish, Japanese or Chinese language skills
- U.S Work Authorization (Required)
