The Korin VG10 Damascus with Mahogany Handle Series combines the distinctive character of 17-layer Damascus steel with reliable performance for professional kitchen use. Selected for its visual beauty and substantial presence, the Damascus steel gives the blade its refined, distinctive pattern, while a VG-10 steel core provides the sharpness and cutting performance needed for precise preparation. Hardened to HRC 60, the blade is designed to balance edge retention with practical maintenance and sharpening. A mahogany handle, shaped for a comfortable and secure grip, provides the control needed for consistent work while helping reduce fatigue during extended preparation.
For continued performance, the knives can be maintained with #2000–#5000 grit whetstones, with finer stones also suitable for routine sharpening according to personal preference.
