Hands-on Western Knife Sharpening Class

Format: Hands-On [You are strongly encouraged to bring your own knives, as a portion of the class will be dedicated to practicing sharpening with your knife]

Restrictions: Ages 18 and Older

Class Itinerary:

Stone explanation Rough stone, medium stone, and fine stone How to prepare stones The proper way to prepare whetstones for sharpening The different bevel on knives Sharpening 70/30 bevel knives vs. 50/50 bevel knives Proper techniques How to check for sharpness

• Classes are 1.5 - 2 hours, please arrive to class 10 minutes earlier
• You will be standing, sharpening and working for most of the class
• Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
• You can also bring your own knives to practice sharpening
• Students receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases the day of class

What is your cancellation policy for classes?

You may cancel up to 48 hours prior to the class to receive a refund transfer to another class of equal value. To cancel a registration, contact us at cs@korin.com call our customer service department at 212.587.7021 from 10am-6pm EST (Holiday hours may vary.) No refund or exchanges will be given on classes that are cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the class. Korin reserves the right to cancel any class that fails to attract sufficient enrollment, for instructor illness or inclement weather. We will contact you by email or telephone and issue a full refund or you may request to be transferred to another class of your choice (depending on availability). If you miss a class due to weather-related concerns, our standard cancellation policy applies.
