Light Wooden Bonito Shaver

A must have tool for making katsuobushi, the shaved flakes of dried bonito fish essential to creating dashi and thousands of Japanese dishes.

Working like a carpenters plane, the shaver has a sturdy natural wood construction and drawer to store the shavings. The blade can be removed, is adjustable and can be sharpened if it becomes dull. The steel material for this shaver is iron (SK55C).
