The Kaede line combines Nenohi's original technology with their very best materials. Two different types of high quality rust-resistant steel are compressed together at extremely high pressure. This results in a high quality stain-resistant blade with the kirenaga and sharpness of a honyaki knife, and the durability and ease of sharpening of a kasumi knife. They are mirror finished with presharpened edges to create the most exact and long lasting sharpness possible. All knives include saya covers.

Left-handed blades must be special ordered from Japan, and will cost 50% more than the right-handed blades. Due to how each traditional Japanese knife is handmade by right handed craftsmen, it will take 4 to 6 weeks to forge and deliver.
