This honing steel features a monocrystalline diamond surface that makes it incredibly tough and abrasive, which means it sharpens easily and efficiently. But, be careful as you can easily harm the edge you've worked so hard to create and maintain. Good for quick touch-ups during service or for heavy-duty butcher knives, this steel is not recommended for yanagi and other Japanese-style knives.
