| "This Masanobu has the feel of a traditional Japanese knife but is less trouble to maintain, thanks to the Western-style double-edged blade...Although the blade is made from high-carbon, rust-resistant steel, it's still best to dry it immediately after washing." - Bon Appétit May 2008 - |

The beautiful appearance of the Damascus style Japanese knives created by folding the steel blade over and over on itself in forging is also available in Western style knives.
These Togiharu Hammered Texture Damascus knives have that great combination of the double-edged familiarity many chefs and cooks are used to in a Western-style knife and the aesthetic and construction (many see as the best in the world) characteristics of Japanese knives.
With the trusted name of Togiharu to back them, these are great, unique, beautiful knives available in four different popular styles. |

| Korin Showroom Gets a New Look! |
| Marking the anniversary of 25 years in business, the Korin Showroom in downtown Manhattan has gotten a facelift! We would like to thank you for your patience during the short showroom closure in June. Korin is once again open for business and we invite everyone to come and see the improvements made to Korin's TriBeCa space. Renovations began on June 19th and will continue throughout the summer, with many new features designed to make your visit to Korin inspiring and fun.
Korin's founder and President Saori Kawano chose the wide-plank walnut hardwood flooring to evoke the calming and powerful atmosphere inside many ancient Japanese shrines.
Korin employed a talented Japanese architect for the new space, who installed substantial floor-to-ceiling beams of beautiful unfinished blonde wood for the display shelving, reminiscent of traditional Japanese cutting boards and sushi bar counters. In the works is a new knife sharpening station for Knife Master Chiharu Sugai to continue his educational lessons and demonstrations for a larger audience than before.
We hope to create an environment in the Korin showroom that sparks your creativity and empowers you to find the right tools for each job. We invite you to stop in at our newly refurbished showroom on Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 6:00pm and be inspired! Showroom is closed on Sundays and national holidays. |
